WHO WE ARE
In 2019, three generations of our RV traveling family fell in love with the beauty and heart of Kanab, UT. We sold everything, took a leap of faith and bought acreage in Kanab. Then we set out to develop a new kind of RV park - one that we yearned for on the road- where natural beauty meets luxury- inspired by our travels across the globe.
Just three miles from the center of Kanab, 18 premiere, pull-through RV sites and 10 tent campsites sit on 40 acres of untouched sagebrush. With unobstructed views in all directions Dark Sky guests will enjoy the ever changing vista across the Red Cliffs, Vermillion Cliffs, and the Kaibab Plateau. Epic sunrises and sunsets disappear into the darkest skies and brightest stars in Southern Utah. Dark Sky RV Campground is a new way to RV.
MERYL & RICK
with Sister, Monkey & Coco
Rick & Meryl have been entrepeneurs since they met over 40 years ago. In their last venture, they were Airbnb SuperHosts of a 5 property compound in charming Boerne, TX.
Rick's been camping since 1970 when his family and a menagerie of pets traveled across the US and Mexico. His months with a local tour company, make him the perfect guy to help you decide what's a must see!
Together, with their adorable, but yappy crew, Rick and Meryl love traveling around in their yellow teardrop.
BRITT & JEFF
with Royce, Finn & Ellie
Britt and Jeff have had a variety of jobs in event planning, marketing and animation since tying the knot in 2008. They had a successful Airbnb in their hometown of Austin, TX and after seeing a family on YouTube sell everything to live on the road, they quickly followed suit; 2017 began a year and a half of adventure traveling in their RV through the US, Mexico and Canada.
They live with their kids, Royce and Finn, often seen riding their ATV's around the park, in their 2015 Columbus Palomino Bunkhouse. RV life has afforded them the ability to adventure more and clean less!
Since landing in Kanab, they've also started the Kanab Film Fest, which takes place each Spring.
Rick's Uncle David was invited on this adventure and left his life in Folley Beach, SC, bought his first RV, and became a happy full-timer in 2018, starting out on 900 wooded acres with chickens and goats, before moving to Kanab.
He currently teaches students around the country a non-dualistic paradigm of thought and action that helps them break through perceived barriers from the comfort of his 2018 Montana High Country Fifth Wheel. He loves the relaxed pace of life in an RV and the incredible people you meet.
